At The Burton Weight Loss Clinic we focus equally on both body and mind, in order to create and maintain successful weight loss...
There are four stages to the simple process of weight loss at the Burton Weight Loss Clinic.
Stage 1: Weight Management Coach
Your first of two consultations will take place with an experienced Weight Management coach who will focus on your food psychology and the precise nature of how food affects you as an individual.
Our resident Weight Management Coach will work with you to identify eating behaviours, exercise patterns and specifically your current state of health and well-being.
Throughout the course of your seven-week programme, together with your coach, you will develop a new personal strategy (action plan) which will include your new positive habits and choices.
Homework will be set alongside the coaching sessions to enable you to become increasingly self-aware and then re-program your negative habits to those of positive ones.
As part of the programme your Weight Management coach will provide you with all the necessary tools to keep you completely focussed and on target, going forward. For example, this includes a goal setting sheet, a food diary plus also an exercise diary. The skills you learn from both the coaching sessions and homework set, will allow you to feel a greater sense of freedom with your weight. As a result, you will remain in control of your weight both now and well into the future due to your new-found healthier lifestyle.
Stage 2: Testing and Nutrition
There are several elements to a programme of sustainable healthy weight loss. The process of digestion, plus the conversion of nutrients to energy our body can use, is extremely complex, and for some individuals, can make weight loss much more of a challenge.
The Burton Weight Loss Clinic offers as part of its programme, a unique health screening process that can isolate specific issues in the body's metabolic systems.
Issues that can make weight loss difficult:
- Poor digestive function
- Food intolerance
- Poor insulin response and action
- Hormone imbalances
This advanced health screening uses a method called "Bioelectrical Impedance Measurement" (BIM).
As part of your weight loss programme you will have one session with an experienced BIM practitioner clinician to screen for the following:
- A functional health screen of all major organs
- Food intolerance to a range of (50) key foods
- Specific causes of any food intolerances identified
- The identification of poor carbohydrate conversion and poor insulin function.
- The identification of hormone imbalances that adversely affect metabolic function
Once the data is collected a nutritional plan is provided to help correct any problems found. Specific nutritional supplements or herbs will be recommended to assist healthy weight loss (if required this will be an additional cost). If appropriate, a follow-up session will be suggested to ensure that problems identified by the screening have since been resolved.
Stage 3: Hypnotherapy
Before you arrive for this session all three Practitioners will have discussed your needs so the Hypnotherapist can use the most appropriate techniques suited to your individual requirements.
As a client you will then have 4 sessions with a Hypnotherapist who specialises in both weight loss and weight management.
The Hypnotherapist will use many of the latest techniques alongside hypnotherapy to enable you to adjust certain patterns around food and eating, this will also increase motivation and confidence. It will allow you to view food in a completely different way so that the changes you make throughout the programme will actually be maintained for life and not only for a short time.
Stage 4: Weight Management Coach
In the final consultation with your coach, everything you have learnt and acquired throughout the seven-week programme that have helped you to lose weight and improve your wellbeing, will be condensed into a personalised action plan. This will contain the tools and skills you need to manage your weight and wellbeing effectively. Any dietary plan and exercise regime which you've found effective in achieving your goals throughout the course of the programme will also be included.
From the second you leave the Clinic's seven-week programme you will feel completely confident and in control of your own ability to successfully manage your weight and maintain it into the future.
You'll never feel alone, as you will receive continuing support for up to six months after your programme finishes, to both motivate and fine-tune any challenges you may have going forward.
